DCWV Unicorns and Rainbows, Constellations and Confetti Party Spotlight Haul May 2018

Hello fellow Alchemists,

Today I am sharing with you a Spotlight haul I did this month with DCWV Unicorns and Rainbows, Constellations and Confetti Party as well as some Heidi Swapp goodness. I have always loved Die Cuts With a View paper stacks and spotlight has just started getting them again! You can see what I bought the same day I put this layby on here.

I got two 12″ Heidi Swapp Minc paper sets. One I hadn’t even realised had coloured pages until I opened it. I recently laybyed some foils so I can’t wait to get them and have a good play. I didn’t know that I didn’t have many in my stash until I went to make a video to show everyone some of these papers foiled in a laminator. Spotlight has Anna Griffin foils that are 12.5cm by 5m for only $3. That’s a lot of foil! They don’t have every colour available but they do have a lot and I can’t wait to get my hands on more. The naming can be a bit confusing though with one style saying matte finish. They are not really matte, the do have a nice shine they just don’t have any of the special effects others do.

I hadn’t really bought any new DCWV stacks in a few years as they had become hard to get in Australia. Spotlight has a large range again now and they are getting new ones all the time. They sell fast so keep your eyes peeled! Confetti Party is so nice and will be great for kids cards especially as will Rainbows and Unicorns. You saw my first reaction to Constellations, I hadn’t opened it before the video. It’s stunning!

Huge Haul, Carloline’s Gifts!

Welcome fellow alchemists,

Today I am sharing a huge haul from a lady in a craft group I just recently started going to. Huge may be an understatement lol. The first time I met this lady was only two weeks before she gave me all these pretty things! Feeling very blessed šŸ™‚ Thank you so much Caroline!

From embellishments to papers this gift had it all! My favourite embellishments were the cute lil shaker bunnies and the cut apart laser cut baby piece from Plaid. The Paper Pizazz Verses 2 was also a fave and I can’t wait to find some projects to use them on.

Where do I start with those papers. Of course the Graphic 45 A Ladies Diary has me swooning. There are only a few G45 stacks in my stash unfortunately. KaiserCraft is always a winner too šŸ™‚ The rose paper with the silver? How have I never seen this before? Wow! Almost forgot about the vintage papers, from the baby ones to the old photos and sketched Pooh. Love Love Love. Oh and I have always been partial to K & Company. There are a few stacks in my stash.

On a side note I have most of my 12″ paper sorted by colour. This is not working for me. My feeling is except for the paper basics like spots, checks and plainer papers I need to organise them back into brands and series and then maybe alphabetise them as it helps keep co-ordinating pieces together. Most of my newer KaiserCraft stacks are stored like this in 12″ project folders. However I have too much paper to do this with all of it… “Blush.” Honestly I feel very daunted when I have to go find something in my paper stash at the moment šŸ™ How do you store your 12″ papers? Got any Tips?
