Kaisercraft Starry Night Collection

Hello Fellow Alchemists,

Today I am sharing with you a look at the Kaisercraft Starry Night collection. This week there is cards, a sticky note pad, a small note book and a list pad. Starry Night is a very dark blue you could be forgiven for thinking is black in some instances.

The Cards

I totally forgot all about the wooden flourishes so they don’t make an appearance, oops! This first set of cards all use elements from the collectables, sticker book, stamp set, and the cut apart sentiment sheets from both the paper and the loose sheets.

My favourite cards is the Christmas tree and ornament one!

In the next set I used the pine leaf stamp on two of the cards to make a background. I had some really pretty blue sparkly gloss cardstock that I got from a charity shop that I cut into strips. Using the strips helps to extend the cardstock a long way. As I only managed to get 3 or 4 sheets this helps a lot!

Cards with lots of shiny gold

This last card was the most complicated as I added a removable tag on the right side. I really should have added some cardstock behind the upper edges of the patterned paper but the double layer of tape does help the tag slide in and out ok. All the dimensional elements on the cards have cut up foam sheets behind them.

The Non Cards!

For this next pic I made a sticky note pad with a magnetic enclosure. I hid and extra image under the circle image so it wasn’t blank when opened. The sticky note pad helped me use up some of the remaining scraps I had left. Then for the notebook I wanted to keep it flat so it was easier to write on. With this in mind I used stickers and refrained from adding any curios. Last but not least was the list pad. I did add dimension behind the poinsettia and add a curio as the list pad is single sided.

I hope you enjoyed this look at the Kaisercraft Starry Night collection. to see another Christmas collection you can go here. Let me know what your favourite make is bellow. Hope you are doing some arty crafty alchemy yourselves. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Aussie Christmas 2020 The Reject Shop

Hello Fellow Alchemists,

This week I am looking at this years Aussie Christmas 2020 collection from The Reject Shop. There is a 36 sheet paper pack, a 4 sheet sticker pack and a 30 pack of die cuts. Each packet was $3. Some of the pictures are different from the video as when I was recreating them I cut the paper the wrong way and had to work out alternative cards. You can see a previous Christmas post here.

These first few cards showcase Koalas and Kookaburras. There were many Koala die cuts, more than any of the other animals. I used loads of gold foil strips to add some elegance to the cards without it costing too much money. The stitched circles and ovals are from Paper Rose as is the yellow Merry Christmas..

Koalas and Kookaburras

In the next pic you get to see some of the other Aussie animals, Tasmanian Devil, Wombat and a Platypus. The large Merry Christmas die is from Pretty Pink Posh and the smaller one is one I got when I was in the UK from The Works. I will list all stamp brands at the end.

Lot’s of Aussie Goodness!

For the first card in the next set of cards I used the Sizzix die set Pretty Wreath. I liked it because I can use any flowers or add ons with it, not just the ones that came in the set. I had to use the BBQing Santa and I thought Nice until proven naughty was a great sentiment to pair it with! The card in the top middle is a bunch of left over strips used to create another diagonal panel with some extra gold ones for good measure.

In this next set I used the gorgeous Aqua Koala paper, it didn’t super fit in with the rest of the papers but I liked it so created cards around it. It gave me the opportunity to use some more of the sticker pack too. The background stamp is from Little Bluebird. The darker backgrounds are first generation and the lighter one is second generation stamping. Maybe the red cards could do with a nice white border.

And Finally!

The last set are possibly my favourite cards. I don’t like the mustard colour in the surfing Santa cards but I love how they turned out! HO HO HO die cuts are from a Little B Christmas set. For the die cut background I apologise but I am unsure of what it is called. I bought it off a craft second hand buy and sell group.

In these cards I used a multitude of different stamp sets so if there is one you want to know about in particular leave a comment and I will let you know. The brands used were Inkadinkado, Kaisercraft, Rosie’s Studio and Recollections. I hope you enjoyed some of the many Aussie Christmas 2020 Cards, let me know your favourite below. Amp It Up August collab with Heavenly Imaginings Card Week

Hello fellow Alchemists,

This is week two of the Amp It Up August collab with Heavenly Imaginings. It’s card week! This week I stuck with the same them from last week’s gift cards and tags.

Kaisercrafts Twig & Berry, Yuletide,  December 25th and Silent Night papers were used. Some ephemera from these collections helped me pull these cards together.

I also used some glitter tags I got from Kmart on clearance one year after Christmas. Seriously casing my stash for this collab! This collab is proving to be a good way to get all my Christmas items together . 😃There was only time to make three cards this week. They will however fit well with my master plan! Especially seeing as I used black as my base colour for the cards. Ribbons from my stash and pearls from cheapy shops were used to embellish the cards.

Hope you ate enjoying the collab. Be sure to check out the other lovely ladies linked below. They are all super talented 😃 Thanks for joining me.

Amp It Up August Gift Cards and Tags Collab with Heavenly Imaginings

Hello fellow Alchemist,

Welcome to the Amp It Up August blog hop hosted by Heavenly Imaginings. This week is Gift Cards and Tags and a group of us lady’s have put together some lovely projects to share. I will link everyone below.

Today I made five tags and six gift cards. I have an overall theme happening because for the last week I want to tie most things together 😊 The papers and ephemera are all from Kaisercraft and the Mini Vellum Tags are from Making Memories. The paper pads I used were Twig & Berry and December 25th. I used ephemera from the Turtle Dove, Silent Night and Twig & Berry collectibles.

Stamps used came From Studio G, Holiday clear stamps and Hampton Arts Joyous Holiday by Alison Wong. They were stamped with Versamark embossing ink and sprinkled with either Hampton Art gold or Alison Ellis Designs Golden Sparkle embossing powder. After being stamped and embossed on black cardstock they were turned into small word banners.

To all the big tags I cut with the Tom Holtz Tag Collection dies I added ribbons. I also added ribbons and stickers to all the Making Memories Vellum Tags. To finish everything off I added miscellaneous pearls and rhinestones.

Don’t forget to check out the projects of the lovely ladies below 🙂 Hope you are creating some arty crafty alchemy yourselves. Bye for now
