Star Wars Galactic Adventure Pop Up Book and Reject Shop Haul

Hello fellow Alchemists,

Today I am sharing with you a Star Wars Galactic Adventure Pop Up Book and Reject Shop Haul. The kids and I went to Warrawong a bit over an hour from here to watch Infinity Wars and there are a lot of shops there lol.

So many bargains at the Warrawong Reject Shop. Some I didn’t even know were bargains until I looked at my receipt after I paid.  I was extremely happy to find the Flourish and Glasshouse stacks to go with the ephemera and journal cards I had already bought. Matchy matchy things make life a bit easier when creating. See the Glasshouse Stack and Glossies in this post.

The Lemonade Stand cards and Here and Now ephemera have me curious about their matching papers. Missed those though. 🙁 However, when going through my stash I found the journal cards to match the here and now ephemera. Trying to find out what things are called is hard. When I do I’ve taken to using a Sharpie to label the packets so I know what I ‘m using.

What can I say about the Star Wars Galactic Adventure Pop Up book by Matthew Reinhart? It is amazing. I have never ever seen so many pop ups stuck into one book! Mind bogglingly awesome! The grand finale was unexpected when I was looking at this in the Salvos shop. The book most definitely had to come home with me…

Hope you enjoyed my Star Wars Galactic Adventure Pop Up Book and Reject Shop Haul. I am trying to think up ideas for how to use the playing cards. They  are huge. If you have a suggestion leave a comment and let me know. Hope you are creating some arty crafty alchemy yourself. Bye for now.

Kmart and Reject Shop Haul March 2018

Hello fellow Alchemists,

As you can see by the title I went shopping again lol. It’s an addiction, but when you find bargains like these, what can you do? “Buy them!” By now you may have realised I like shopping haha. On a side note I did purchase these before my last shopping haul video. Due to that haul being Easter themed I decided to show it first.

What can I say about Kmart? While most of the time their prices are great a lot of their craft items can be overpriced for what you get. I miss the days when they had a larger selection of more interesting things. They do still have packs of 25 cards bases with envelopes for $3. This is what I use for most of my card bases. I’ve been managing to get to Kmart a little more frequently than I normally would so got to snag a few bargains 🙂

The envelopes for 50c were a steal! Especially seeing as they were star dream paper and there is 10 in a packet. They can be used as envelopes, cut them up for matting, use them in mini albums or die cut them, they were so cheap and I can use them for many things. The paper bags are awesome, have always wanted to make a paper bag album so that’s definitely on the cards now!

I actually walked out of the reject shop today, well yesterday when this comes out, without buying anything! They have no new stuff yet and I am good with that lol. I did go to the art shop but that’s another story … Apart from the other stuff I got I am super happy I found the Glasshouse papers to go with the other things I have from that range. I got them before I started this channel so when I go to use them I will do a quick share. The glossies I got in this video do match the Glasshouse range.

I am very excited for an arty crafty hack or two I have coming up. Hope you’re creating your own arty crafty alchemy. See you next time 🙂

Spotlight and Reject Shop Hauls March 2018

Hello Fellow Alchemists,

Today I am sharing my Spotlight and Reject Shop Hauls for this month. Spotlight surprised me by having some things I actually wanted for a change but not what I was actually after. The Reject Shop, while their selection is small,  it is dangerous!

Spotlight has been ho hum for me for a while, prices have become very high and their paper craft  range seems to have shrunk. When I was in there they had no KaiserCraft 6.5″ stacks at all and barely any other Kaiser products. On a side note some of their pricing is out of line with other KaiserCraft retailers. Ranging from a dollar or two more to five or six dollars more for a 12″x12″ paper kit. That being said I still managed to snag a couple of bargains with the Heidi Swapp products and the Zing Embossing powder.

The Reject Shop has also shrunk their art and craft sections but what they do have has been packing a mighty punch. The fanciful collection is divine, all those mermaids fairies and unicorns. Twig & Twine is quite nice with a few random pieces of paper in the paper pad that you have to wonder over like the flag signing one. I wish I had seen the Glasshouse paper pad as the die cuts are so pretty.

Having the co-ordinating packs makes crafting with the papers a lot easier as you have ready made embellishments ready to go. My current website header is a pop up box I made using the Fanciful die cuts and some of the stickers as well. I didn’t have the paper stack at the time so had to use other papers from my stash. If you would like to see more photos of the card head over to the Arty Crafty Alchemy page on Facebook.

Hope you enjoyed seeing what I bought, go create some magic!
